PinkisheFoundation Covid19 LockdownSeries (Episode 13-Part 2)

The ongoing lockdown has brought daily life to a standstill. Economically weaker sector is the worst hit, especially the females. They are in the most vulnerable state due to various reasons, absence of sanitary napkins as being one of them.

Pinkishe Foundation always stands for menstrual hygiene awareness and the dignity of underprivileged women. We regularly visit and provide free sanitary pads alongwith menstrual hygiene awareness workshops to poor women and girls under our Padbank program (https://www.pinkishe.org/padbank)

During this lockdown period, it became difficult for female slum dwellers in Pune to arrange this essential commodity for themselves.

Our Pinkishe warrior Ms Neha Gupta Mehta reached to their rescue. She visited slum areas near Pawaneshwar Temple Pimpri on 19th May 2020, and distributed around 30 packets of sanitary pads.

Robinhood army Pune team members Akash Vaijanath, Cheriesha, Sejal Joshi supported us in the drive.

All underprivileged women were so happy to receive help during these testing times. Social distancing was followed everywhere during the drive.

Pinkishe Foundation extends our gratitude to Ms Neha, Robinhood army and all contributors for their support in the noble cause.
