Periods, menstruation, monthlies, call it what you want. But there's a whole lot to talk about.
Pinkishe Foundation conducted a menstrual health and hygiene awareness session and a pad donation drive at Gazipur village, Zirakpur, Punjab on 10th July, headed by Ms Monika Pal. The beneficiaries were made aware about the science behind periods, their importance, menstrual hygiene and how to use and dispose of pads. Being able to talk about menstruation without any shame and stiffness is very important for the health of the women and girls. The session was a success and we look forward to conducting many more such sessions and drives in the future. Pinkishe Foundation is continuously working to break all these myths and taboos from the society, and we are also trying to raise awareness of menstrual hygiene and its importance.
