Pinkishe Foundation organized a Menstrual literacy workshop for 6th to 8th class girls of Shevantabai Dangat Patil PMC School, Vadgaon, Pune on 25th August. Ms Aastha katara , Pune branch leader of Pinkishe Foundation and Ms Shalini Gupta interacted with the girls and made them aware that periods is a natural phenomenon and nothing to be ashamed of. They explained how important this whole process of Menstruation is for human race. Girls listened attentively and asked lot of questions to quench their curiosity. One girl Shivani asked why boys don't menstruate? Other girl asked why periods are considered impure? Our fecilitators answered these questions patiently and with lot of compassion. By the end of session free Sanitary pads were also distributed to all girls present.
