SAKHI PROJECT 9 Block - Rajpura, Meerut
The Pinkishe Foundation believes that each and every menstruator should have basic knowledge and training about Menstrual Health and Hygiene. As a small step in this huge movement, The Pinkishe Foundation under its Sakhi Program, the 6th of May, conducted Menstrual hygiene training for 38 teachers of Rajpura Block. This training was taken by Ms. Poonam Rana, the Coordinator of the Sakhi Program. Poonam Ji guided the teachers to remain friendly with the girls while imparting this training to them. She told them to encourage girls to be more interactive during the session and made them understand that the process of Menstruation is perfectly normal and nothing to be ashamed of. These teachers further educated about 1650 girls studying in classes 6th to 8th in their schools. Free Sanitary pads were provided by P&G for distribution to the girls.
