On 28th May 2022, World Menstrual Hygiene Day was celebrated by a Menstrual literacy workshop and Pad distribution drive at Boydon Village, Fahapur Haat, Uttar Dinajpur, West Bengal. Ms. Binati Singha organised the workshop. Girls and women were educated about menstrual hygiene and menstrual health. Also, proper food habits were explained, which directly or indirectly affect the period cycle. Girls and women were also informed about the home remedies for period cramps. The session was well-received by all the attendees. After the session, attendees also clarified a few doubts regarding menstruation and many aspects. Free sanitary pads were distributed to all the girls and women. The event turned out to be really good as girls and women were made aware of their bodies and the processes their bodies go through every month.
