Setting in the mood for the festivities and celebrations well in advance, Pinkishe Women Association, North Delhi, a branch of Pinkishe Foundation had organised a grand Diwali Mela at Haryana Maitri Bhavan in Pitampura, Delhi on 7th of October 2019. MCD councillor Ms. Chitra Aggarwal, alongside Ms. Shalini Gupta, National General Secretary Pinkshe Foundation, inaugurated the event by lightingthe lamp. Ms Deepti Titoria, Winner of Mrs India pageant and Mr Vijendra Gupta, MLA in Delhi Assembly were the Guests of Honor. Also present as the special guest was Mrs Shalini Rai, winner of
Mrs India MIQS pageant. The program was hosted by the very talented RJ Himani from All India Radio and Ms. Amrit Kaur.
Many women achievers were honored at the event for being role models to the society. It had fun games, various contests and cultural programs like kids fashion show. Diwali means exchanging of gifts, hence we saw a heavy footfall for diwali shopping at various stalls at the mela. The food court was thronged by all to relish the flavors of the festivities.
